It's Official: We're Building Our First Soulehe Boutique

The secret might not be so secret anymore... 👀
If you've been walking down Banna Ave lately, you may have already noticed something happening behind these windows.
After months of searching, planning, changing plans and wondering when we would finally find the right place, I can officially say it:
We're building our very first Soulehe boutique. 🥹
And honestly, I don't think it has completely sunk in yet.
The Search Is Finally Over

Finding the right space took much longer than I expected.
I didn't want to open a store just for the sake of having a store. I had a very specific feeling in mind for Soulehe, and I wanted to find a space where I could actually bring that vision to life.
There were places we looked at that weren't right. There were plans that changed. There were moments when I wondered if we should wait a little longer.
But eventually, we found it.
We have the keys. The space is ours. And now the fun, slightly terrifying part begins.
We actually have to turn an empty shop into Soulehe.
Excited. Terrified. Mostly Excited.
I am SO excited.
I've had a vision of creating a proper Soulehe boutique in my head for such a long time, and suddenly I'm standing inside the space where it's actually going to happen.
But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared too.
There are a million little things running through my head.
Will everything come together the way I imagine it?
Will we get everything finished in time?
Will people love the space as much as I hope they will?
And probably my biggest, slightly irrational fear...
What if no one comes to the opening? 🥹
I don't know why that's the thought my brain has decided to hold onto, but apparently it is.
So yes, I'm incredibly excited. And also nervous. And overwhelmed. And already thinking about approximately 400 things at the same time.
I guess that's what building something you've dreamed about feels like.
Now We Get To Create It

At the moment, the boutique definitely doesn't look like the Soulehe space I have pictured in my head.
There is painting to do.
Things to pull apart.
Things to build.
Furniture to find.
Displays to design.
Lighting to figure out.
A checkout area to create.
Jewellery to make.
And about a hundred decisions I probably haven't even thought about yet.
But that's also the part I'm most excited about.
I don't want to just show you the beautiful finished boutique at the end. I want to show you how we actually get there.
The good decisions, the questionable DIY attempts, the things that don't work, the ideas that change halfway through and hopefully the moment when everything finally starts coming together.
Welcome To The Soulehe Boutique Diaries

From now on, I'll be sharing more of the boutique journey here on the blog.
This is where I can go a little deeper into the process, share my thoughts and ideas, talk about the decisions we're making and show you what building a small independent boutique actually looks like behind the scenes.
For the more immediate, slightly chaotic version of events, I'll also be sharing plenty of photos and videos on our Instagram, @soulehe.studio.
And yes, very soon we'll be revealing exactly where the new Soulehe boutique is and when we're hoping to open the doors.
I genuinely hope some of you will come and celebrate opening day with us. 🤍
What's Next?
The next Boutique Diaries post will take you back to the beginning.
I'll share how we found the space, why we chose it and what we realised needed to happen before we could even think about filling it with jewellery.
Spoiler: there's painting, demolition and quite a bit of DIY involved.
The keys are finally in our hands.
Now it's time to build Soulehe. 🤍
